Another Kind Of Freedom
HOW DO WE REALLY CHANGE? NAVIGATE THE BIG SEAS?
Named after Pema Chödrön's translation of the Buddhist book The Myth of Freedom, Another Kind of Freedom is an invitation to explore what becomes possible when we loosen our grip on old patterns and meet life with greater presence and awareness.
Through practical tools and embodied practices, we’ll explore ways to clear stress, cultivate presence and celebrate this precious life, with more freedom, spaciousness and joy.
“The freedom that most of us cherish is temporary and fleeting. It may come as a gift that lasts for a while but ultimately doesn't address our fundamental dissatisfaction, our underlying anxiety. There is 'another kind of freedom,' the freedom that liberates us from the very causes of suffering. This kind of freedom isn't swayed by external circumstances. It's what we feel when we settle down with life as it is, when we give in to being right on the spot, when we learn to make friends with ourselves at all times and in all situations.”
