About Sweet Talk

We believe in bringing people together. Real connection. Real questions. Listening from the heart. Speaking from the heart.

We're here to celebrate what unites us, across generations, across backgrounds. Active hope. Radical imagination. Community. Connection. A brighter world for all.

What you'll experience

Real conversation. Connection. Delicious food. Good times. Community. Belonging.

Who is this for?

This is for women who:

  • Crave real conversation
  • Believe in community, radical imagination, and a brighter world for all
  • Feel the isolation of this cultural moment and want to actively counter it
  • Believe in women coming together to share stories, wisdom and warmth

How it works

RSVP. You'll be matched with a partner for the evening. Instead of a food menu, you'll get a conversation menu: real questions, no small talk, designed to get you somewhere true, fast.

The conversation. Follow the menu. Expect real laughter. Unexpected tangents. Things you didn't know you needed to say out loud. Tenderness. Beauty. Wonder. Connection.

The food. Catering from Very Good Falafel, Brunswick.

The community. To nourish the heart.

FAQ

Isn't this just speed dating?

Not at all. You stay at one table with the same conversation partner for the whole meal. No swapping, no moving on. The heart of Sweet Talk isn't meeting as many people as possible. It's giving yourself fully to one meaningful conversation, and coming away understanding another human in a new way.

Is it safe?

Yes. We meet in a public venue, Balam Balam Place, Brunswick. No personal information is shared unless you choose to share it.

Will it be awkward?

It's the most common worry in the room, and the first to disappear. Everyone at the table came for the same reason: to connect. The conversation menu gives you something to talk about from the very first question, and most guests are surprised how quickly the evening finds its rhythm.

What if I have nothing to say?

The conversation menu sparks light, fun, and sometimes surprisingly deep discussion, so long, uncomfortable pauses rarely happen. Most guests tell us the first ten minutes are the hardest. After that, the table carries itself.

How do I get the most out of the evening?

A few simple things make the first (or tenth) dinner easier:

  • Come with an open mind. Everyone's there to connect, just like you. Expect curiosity, not judgement.
  • Ask questions and listen. The conversation menu will help things flow.
  • Be yourself. There's no one to impress.
  • Wear what makes you feel good.
  • Arrive on time. It helps the whole table begin together.
  • Come to enjoy the meal. It's a fun evening out, not networking, not a performance.

Evening after evening, this is how one dinner with strangers becomes a table of women you choose to sit with again.

iNNER PLACE: Connect in. Connect out. Create change.
